Our Progress
Nothing much to see and the phone service is dicey.
Leave a CommentWe will be doing this for awhile.
1 CommentI stopped to go to the bathroom. Sadly, I left my phone in the car. I’m pretty sure the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned or attended to since Route 66 was built.
1 CommentGoing through the very top of Texas and the speed limit is 75. :)))))
Leave a CommentI was hoping to get some sweet souvenirs here. Take note of Jill and Snoopy running. We have been running her around all day to attempt to tire her out.
Stuffed armadillo beer holder for Jill and take note of torso man on the left.
Case of miscellaneous weapons. It’s nice to know that I can get a 5 pack of mini ninja stars if I want.
Lastly, I saw a buffalo. I don’t think it liked me.
1 CommentSnoopy no longer likes them.

On the road out of Arkansas, starting off day three on the road. Albuquerque here we come!
This place was so creepy that I didn’t use the bathroom and Jill walked Snoopy for about 30 seconds. Also, the ratio of trucks to cars is about 10:1 on the highway here. Just driving until Little Rock!
5 CommentsBest part of today: Leaving Tennessee. Worst part of today: Entering Arkansas.
Leave a CommentI didn’t take any pictures. Why? Have you ever been to Memphis?
3 CommentsI’ve been driving since 6am and it’s nice sitting in the passenger seat now. We are currently making our way through Tennessee. The accents are awesome but the scenery is pretty dull. We’ve made a hotel reservation in North Little Rock, Arkansas and that’s our goal for today!

We’ve reached the I-40 W in Tennessee. We’ll be on this road for the next three days. At least we’re finally going directly west!
I suppose we were always going to hit snow at some point.
Stopped at Cracker Barrel for a bathroom break and saw these lovely confectionary items. Still in Virginia.
Passing Hungry Mother State Park that has some spectacular sites such as “Molly’s Knob”…
It’s basically a dog cot at this point.

Exhausted after a long day of sleeping in the car, Snoopy immediately passed out in the hotel room upon arrival.
Somewhere in the middle of Virginia.
1 CommentWe are trying to GTFO of this state as soon as possible.
Leave a CommentSo in my spare time, I judge bathrooms. Not that I have much of a choice on the road but here we go! This is the Shell Station in Greencastle, PA. This is the view when you walk in: a hole in the wall across from the toilet, a door next to it where there is probably dead bodies and a lovey piece of artwork precariously mounted at no one’s eye level. There was also a lingering pee smell. This bathroom gets a 0.
Leave a CommentCourtesy of Matt. Not a trace left of Ed’s Off Roading Experience 2014. I’m glad dad decided to wait 12 days after getting the new car before realizing that, perhaps it was not the perfect off road vehicle after all.

I thought it said “Shartsville”.
Saw this little gem stuck in traffic in New Jersey.
Leave a CommentDad came to say goodbye and thought the driveway extended onto the lawn.
